"Physical (Mark Ronson Remix)", the second official remix of the track by British DJ Mark Ronson, was released to coincide with the release of the original version as the second single from the first remix album of Dua Lipa Club Future Nostalgia. This version sees the participation of the American singer Gwen Stefani. It is also included on the International standard and deluxe edition Stefani's fifth studio album (2021).
Release and promotion[]
A remix of "Physical" by Mark Ronson, featuring Gwen Stefani is included on Dua Lipa and The Blessed Madonna's DJ Mix crafted remix album, Club Future Nostalgia, released 28 August 2020,[1][2] while the unmixed version was released on 11 September 2020, for contemporary hit radio on 19 January 2021 as the second single,[3] along with the standard edition of the album.[4] An electro track, Ronson took apart the original intending for a Ruff Ryders direction, and electronic-R&B mood. After being approached for a "Hollaback Girl" sample on Mr. Fingers' "Hallucinate" remix, Gwen Stefani expressed her desire to be on the album. Mark Ronson and The Blessed Madonna quickly incorporated a place for her on "Physical", shortly thereafter.
